I probably should've done this sooner, but I thought I should finally post what I did for my cover of Fool's Gold! 'Twas a fun thing 
I went along the lines of the color combo I did for this drawing: [link] And I was TOTALLY at a loss for a background, until I just stared at it for a while and decided it needed some stripes. It ended up looking like an old couch of mine I got from a thrift store!
'Twas sketched in Photoshop, "inked" and colored in Painter using colored pencils and watercolors, background-ed in PS Elements (I have a more recent version of Elements), and finalized back in Photoshop.
Anyway, this drawing has been significantly changed by Tokyopop, in the sense that the color scheme's completely different. What I came up with didn't work out in print. But I really like what they came up with! Here's a link: [link]
